Booking terms and website terms
Last updated 23 October 2026
In short: enquiries aren't bookings; a deposit secures your date and comes off the final price; give at least 48 hours' notice to move your appointment; you must be 18+ with photo ID; and nothing here affects your legal rights as a consumer.
About these terms
These terms apply when you book a tattoo with Black Cat Tattoo Studio, 191 Union Street, Lurgan BT66 8EQ, and when you use this website. Please read them before paying a deposit. If anything here conflicts with what Girv has agreed with you in writing for your booking, the written agreement wins.
Enquiries and quotes
- Sending an enquiry doesn't create a booking or any obligation for either of us.
- Quotes are based on the size, detail and placement you describe. If the design changes significantly, the quote may change — we'll always tell you before your session.
- We can decline any design, for example if it's offensive, copies another artist's original work, or isn't something we can tattoo well.
Deposits
- A deposit is needed to confirm your appointment. We'll tell you the amount when we confirm the booking.
- The deposit comes off the final price of your tattoo.
- Deposits cover the time spent preparing your design and holding your slot, so they're normally non-refundable if you cancel. If we cancel, we'll offer you a new date or a full refund of your deposit.
- Only pay deposits using the payment details Girv gives you directly through our official accounts. We'll never ask for card details by direct message.
Moving or cancelling
- 48 hours or more notice: you can move your appointment once and keep your deposit.
- Less than 48 hours' notice, or not turning up: your deposit may be kept, and a new deposit needed to rebook.
- Arriving more than 30 minutes late may mean we have to shorten or rearrange your session.
- If you're unwell — particularly with a cold, flu, cold sore, or a skin problem near the area — please tell us and we'll move your appointment without losing your deposit.
On the day
- Age: you must be 18 or over and bring valid photo ID. Without it we can't tattoo you, and your deposit may be kept. Tattooing anyone under 18 is illegal in Northern Ireland, even with a parent's permission.
- Consent form: you'll be asked to complete and sign a consent form, including relevant health information. Please answer honestly — it's there to keep you safe.
- Alcohol and drugs: we won't tattoo anyone who appears to be under the influence. Please avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your session.
- Health: we may decline or postpone if it isn't safe to go ahead, for example during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with certain medical conditions or medication. Ask us if you're unsure.
- Guests: because the studio is a private space, please check with us before bringing anyone with you.
Aftercare and touch-ups
- How a tattoo heals depends a lot on aftercare. Please follow the instructions you're given at your session and in our aftercare guide.
- If you think your tattoo needs a touch-up once healed, get in touch. We'll look at it and let you know what's possible.
- If you notice signs of infection, seek medical advice promptly and let us know.
Designs and photos
- Custom designs are drawn by Girv. The tattoo on your skin is yours; the copyright in the drawing stays with the artist, and the design won't be sold or re-used as an identical tattoo for someone else.
- We'd love to photograph your finished tattoo for our portfolio, but we'll only post it with your permission. You can ask us to remove it at any time.
Our responsibility to you
We'll carry out your tattoo with reasonable care and skill, in a clean and hygienic studio. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Using this website
- The photos on this website show work by Black Cat Tattoo Studio and belong to us. Please don't copy or reuse them without permission.
- The aftercare information is general guidance and isn't medical advice.
- Please don't misuse the enquiry form, try to break or overload the site, or send malicious files. To report a security problem, see our security page.

Law and disputes
